This section is for those interested in the possibility of marketing their eco products and services via ECOoutpost.com.

1. How It Works

Basically, we market your eco products and services both on the site and via other marketing activity (see Advertising). When an interested party finds something that piqued their interests, they make an inquiry to ECOoutpost Storefront. There they can make an email inquiry, instantly send messages to you (you must be signed onto ECOoutpost to receive messages; once you’re logged on you’ll receive messages saved for you), or make an inquiry directly to your website.

ECOoutpost Marketplace Storefront is in essence an extension to your existing website. Here you have the flexibility to experiment with products, pricing and marketing. You can experiment with different products and advertisements every week to see which ones sell the best before committing to them. For example, your Shop ID (http://www.ecooutpost.com/ShopID) is an extension of your website or stand-alone shop, which becomes part of your shops URL.

With your own URL you can:

• Promote your shop on your website
• Email your shop link/URL to friends and family
• Buy ads on Google and other search engines

2. How We Generate Inquiries

The more you interact with the community via Forums, Blog, Classified Ads etc… to educate and promote the eco philosophy, the more customers come in through your Marketplace Stroefront. You are essentially introducing more and more customers directly to your website, leading to more loyal customers.

In addition, we work very hard to generate inquires for you. Our marketing initiatives include:

• Search engine listings: We will work to ensure that ECOoutpost gets excellent search engine listings, a win-win partnership approach.
• Online advertising: We buy ads against keywords.
• Database marketing: We have registered associates as well as global Internet traffic that can access the database directly from MarketPlace Search.
• Print advertising. We will work to ensure ECOoutpost is globally recognized.
• PR: Youll find us covered in the press regularly.

MarketPlace Membership requires an annual fee:

$50.00/year or $90.00/2 years.

Our goal is to offer worldwide exposure at an affordable price, even for developing countries.

6. Your Partnership Means a Lot!

Your Membership covers the costs associated with maintaining our various online resources. Your membership enables ECOoutpost to work in conservation and environmental changes according to our philosophy. With your support and encouragement, we hope we are offering a new business model that is helpful, sustainable and restorative to the Earth and its life.

Important Notes:

1. Please make sure that you spell your email correctly, so that we can communicate with you.
2. Your account will be approved within 48 hours.
3. Your partnership will be manually activated when your payment has cleared.
4. When your partnership is manually activated, you will receive a welcome email from us with your access details. This email will be sent to the email from which payment was made, unless you instruct us otherwise. (Please also check in your Spam folder.)

7. Our Policy:

We list products and services that fully meet at least one of our four ECOoutpost Criteria, and which are compatible with the ECOoutpost Philosophy.

ECOoutpost Criteria:

Companies must demonstrate that they:

• Are socially and environmentally responsible in the way they source, manufacture, and market their products and run their offices, factories, accomodations, and tours.
• Are committed to and employ extraordinary and innovative practices that benefit: 1) workers, 2) communities, 3) customers, and 4) the environment.

ECOoutpost Philosophy:

• To improve the livelihoods and well being of local people by improving market access, enhances the well-being of host communities, paying a better price, improves working conditions and access to the industry;
• To promote development opportunities for local people, especially women and indigenous people and to protect children from exploitation in the production and/or service process;
• To raise awareness among consumers of the negative effects on producer of international trade and mass tourism so that they exercise their purchasing power positively;
• Makes positive contributions to the conservation of natural and cultural heritage, to the maintenance of the worlds diversity;
• Minimizes negative economic, environmental, and social impacts; and
• To protect human rights by promoting social justice, sound environmental practices and economic security.

We do not wish to advertise the following services/items:

• political
• religious
• weapons
• adult/pornography
• illegal substances
• illegal services
• websites that violate copyright laws, or are engaged in defamation and libel.

In certain instances, ECOoutpost may decide not to advertise competitive products and services. If we refuse or terminate a listing for any reason, a full refund will be made through PayPal.
