Ethics:
LETTERS FROM MOTHER EARTH TO THE HUMAN RACE
- Forward -
By David Short
If you listen closely, you’ll hear the planet speaking to us. However, not in the way we’re accustomed. Through climate change, melting polar ice caps, and massive storms, the earth is attempting to communicate the duress it is enduring. Unfortunately, we often don’t know how to listen, and when we do, much can be lost in translation from the physical terms in which the planet speaks, to the language we are accustomed to hearing. The following is merely my interpretation of what our planet would say if it could communicate linguistically.
I am not blind (but I am fearful) that some may interpret the following letters as an insult of the human spirit. This is not my intention. On the contrary, I am an optimist. I strongly believe in the enlightened good nature of humanity. Together we will be a part of positive change in our planet’s future. Remember it’s the reader that is important, not the writer, as they must take the message given and forge it into something tangible.
